Regulatory Framework and Phytosanitary Control
The Ginkgo biloba Industrial Development Program operates within the agricultural and phytosanitary legislation of the Republic of Moldova and is structured for future compliance within European Union standards.
All cultivation activities are conducted under registered operator status.
Republic of Moldova — Legal Cultivation Status
NORD NUC S.R.L. is registered as an agricultural and phytosanitary operator.
The company operates under the supervision of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA).
The registered status permits:
- cultivation of plant material
- nursery operations
- field plantation establishment
- handling and transport of plant biomass
- compliance with phytosanitary inspection procedures
All field activities conducted since 17 September 2021 fall within legal agricultural practice.
Phytosanitary Oversight
The plantation and nursery operations are subject to:
- periodic inspection
- plant health monitoring
- documentation requirements for plant material
- compliance with national plant health legislation
The 0.3 ha pilot plantation operates within officially registered agricultural land status.
Climatic Exposure as Regulatory Neutral Condition
All field validation has been conducted:
- without artificial winter protection
- without greenhouse dependency during adaptation stage
- under natural continental climatic conditions
The recorded winter exposure of approximately −22 °C occurred under standard open-field conditions.
This confirms that the biological validation phase is not artificially modified.
Preparation for EU Deployment (2029 Phase)
The 4-hectare Alpine deployment in Piemonte (Italy) is planned under:
- rain-fed cultivation model
- organic-compliant regional selection
- adherence to EU agricultural legislation
- compatibility with organic certification standards
Final regional selection in Italy will depend on:
- soil classification
- environmental compliance
- bio-regulatory compatibility
Separation of Functional Scope
This platform documents:
- biological development
- cultivation methodology
- plantation modelling
It does not present:
- pharmaceutical manufacturing
- extract standardisation
- clinical positioning
Pharmaceutical-oriented activities are presented separately at:
Long-Term Regulatory Alignment
The project follows a phased compliance model:
Phase I — National agricultural validation (Republic of Moldova)
Phase II — Laboratory analytical validation (2026)
Phase III — Clonal stabilisation (2027)
Phase IV — EU-compliant Alpine deployment (2029)
Regulatory alignment is integrated into each development stage.
